Amruta Dhara GouShala, Bajakudlu, Kerala

This is a Kasaragod breed conservation center, one of the goushala outside Karnataka. This goushala was started in the year of 2014 in Yenmakaje village of Manjeshwara hobli. Kasargod Breed Conservation charitable trust is the institute managing the goushala. Green grass is being produced in about 1.5 acres and 4 acres of pasture land is available for free grazing. There are 125 cow sheds in total with a total rearing capacity of 125. Presently there are 40 cows, 51 bulls, and 32 calves making a total of 123.

A cow here, named “Bangari” is the center of attraction. This was nominated as the world’s shortest cow. The dwarfness comes from its genes. It belongs to the native “Kasaragod” breed.

Products: Gobar and Gou based products like Arka, Shamana Thaila, Yeshwantara choorna,  Jwaramrutha,                                      Vibhuti, Vatsalya health Drink, and Dhanta Manjana are being produced.
